Training & Organizational Development Certificate Program

Temple's certificate program in Training and Organizational Development is intended for adult educators and administrators, trainers, consultants, program and instructional developers, and facilitators. 

It consists of four courses focusing on adult training, team development and organizational change in diverse settings, such as educational, community-based and governmental organizations, associations, and the workplace. 

The certificate program is a training ground for individuals wishing to enter into careers in these settings and an opportunity for mid-career professionals to upgrade their skills.

Program Requirements

The certificate can be completed within a one-year period. Courses are designed for working professionals and are offered in the evening and on weekends. 
The requirements consist of 12 graduate credits from Temple's program in Adult and Organizational Development (all credits are transferable to the AOD master's program).

Required Core Courses

  • AOD 5401 System Dynamics
  • AOD 5403 Facilitation of Adult Learning
  • All students must elect TWO from the following list of courses
    • AOD 5522 Interpersonal Skills Training
    • AOD 5527 Training Design and Delivery (AOD 5403 is a prerequisite)
    • AOD 5532 Leadership and Management
    • AOD 5535 Organizational Assessment, Design and Strategy
