Higher Education MEd

Temple University’s Master of Education in Higher Education builds a strong foundation of skill and understanding of relevant areas, including

  • access to postsecondary education,
  • changes necessary to meet state and federal college completion goals,
  • equity in student higher education outcomes, and
  • urban educational issues.

Gain a broad knowledge of higher education in a diverse learning environment, and develop the expertise necessary to become a leader in the field.

The Higher Education MEd is presented in a hybrid format, offering both online and in-person courses. Face-to-face class meetings are held during the evening at Temple University's Main Campus. The master’s degree is designed to accommodate schedules of busy working professionals.

Tuition & Fees

In keeping with Temple’s commitment to access and affordability, this Master of Education offers a competitive level of tuition with multiple opportunities for financial support.

Tuition rates are set annually by the university and are affected by multiple factors, including program degree level (undergraduate or graduate), course load (full- or part-time), in-state or out-of-state residency, and more. These tuition costs apply to the 2023–2024 academic year.

Pennsylvania resident: $1,053.00 per credit
Out-of-state: $1,449.00 per credit
