Inspire - Incite - Innovate A symposium promoting college access and completion
 
The College of Education at Temple University will host a symposium promoting college access through University, Corporate, and Civic partnerships and creating pathways to increase completion for low-income and underrepresented students in post-secondary education. The symposium, titled Inspire  Incite  Innovate, will feature a diverse panel of educational experts and civic leaders, an action-oriented round table discussion from 2:00-4:00 p.m., with a culminating keynote address by Mr. Gregory Darnieder, Senior Advisor to the U.S. Secretary of Education. The event will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 from 2:00-6:00 PM on Temple University's Main Campus in the Great Court of Mitten Hall.

About the Keynote Speaker:
Mr. Gregory Darnieder is a national leader and advocate on college access and completion. In addition to his current role as the Senior Advisor to the Secretary on the College Access initiative at the U.S. Department of Education, Mr. Darnieder also serves as the leading voice on President Obama’s 2020 Goal. He has led numerous postsecondary, academic, financial, and social support programs that built university, corporate and civic partnerships to enhance college access, and earned a number of prestigious awards including the 2012 Middle Grades Education Leadership Award, Excellence in Education Award, and the National Advocacy Award.
