“Travel into Teaching” was the third student-run Teacher Champions event and saw its highest attendance with approximately 60 Temple students.
This medal is the third highest award the Department of the Army bestows to honor civilian contributions that are reflective of superior service, achievement or heroism.
Dr. William R. Hite shared his focus on equity, innovation, and quality of K-12 education in Philadelphia in a lecture he delivered to the Temple community on Tuesday, November 29.
“With this information about their options, the seventh-grade students will be better prepared to make career-oriented choices as they consider CTE programs as part of their pathway to and through college,” said Juliet D. Curci, EDU ’11. “Our goal is to help students make informed decisions when choosing which high schools they want to apply to.”
Dr. Ikpa was an Associate Professor of Educational Leadership who started her career at Temple in 1992 and retired in the Spring of 2016. While at Temple she taught a range of graduate courses at both the Harrisburg and Philadelphia campuses. Her instruction focused on the theory and practice of educational administration and on educational reform initiatives.
