Needs Assessment of Urban Schools

The purpose of the study is to assess the needs of stakeholders who work with students with disabilities in urban schools. The stakeholders include: resident students (current and former), teachers, administrators, and coaches. We will ask about their experiences working with students with disabilities. We plan to interview folks through four focus groups that would be comprised of professionals who teach in schools in the greater Philadelphia region. It is anticipated that the results would help us determine the needs in special education in urban schools and thereby help determine the center’s focus.
