Opportunities for doctoral students

The Special Education Research to Practice Center is starting a new series of articles titled Special Education Research to Practice in Action (SPED R2PA) articles. The center invites CEHD doctoral students to submit practitioner-oriented manuscripts that translate evidence-based research into actionable strategies for professionals working with students with disabilities. All SPED R2PA manuscripts are limited to 12 pages and should focus on clearly connecting research to practice by providing step-by-step guidance for implementing effective interventions, supported by current literature. Submissions should address real-world challenges through applied scenarios and be grounded in research. Submissions require a proposal and are due by April 30, 2026, with selected authors receiving travel funding and the opportunity to publish with the center. See the guidelines for further details.
