CEHD undergraduate students are not assigned a specific advisor, giving you the flexibility to meet with the advisor who best fits your needs and schedule.

Scheduling an Undergraduate Academic Advising Appointment

Students can schedule an academic advising appointment through the student platform, Navigate360.

Come Prepared: Advising Appointment Tips

As an active participant in the advising process, you are responsible for your educational and career decisions. Advising is most effective when you come prepared and informed about university policies and your program requirements as outlined in the Bulletin.

Before your appointment:

• Indicate the purpose of your appointment when scheduling.
• Review your curriculum sheet and/or the University Bulletin.
• Check course descriptions and the Schedule of Classes; build a tentative plan in Plan Your Schedule (Banner).
• Run your DARS report to review your academic progress.
• Read your previous advising notes.
• Prepare a list of questions to discuss.

During and after your appointment, track your progress toward your degree and confirm that all requirements are met. Your advisor can clarify options and provide guidance, but final academic decisions rest with you.

Curriculum sheets and academic plans are located in our advising office. We send an updated copy after every academic advising appointment. Please check your email or contact us if need a copy.

Academic Responsibility Policy

The College of Education and Human Development expects students to assume primary responsibility for knowing the requirements for their degrees and for acquiring current information about their academic status. All students are expected to collaborate with an academic advisor each semester to discuss questions and concerns, review their academic plans, and ensure timely degree completion. College of Education and Human Development academic advisors are trained to provide sound advice aligned with university and college policies and practice.
