Networking: Help students build meaningful professional connections and feel more comfortable connecting with employers, alumni, and other professionals.
LinkedIn: Support students in creating and strengthening their LinkedIn presence and using the platform to build connections and explore opportunities.
Interview Skills: Help students prepare for interviews, practice answering questions, and build confidence in presenting their experiences and strengths.
Salary Negotiation: Provide guidance on understanding compensation and advocating for themselves when discussing salary and job offers.
Elevator Pitch: Help students develop a brief and confident introduction that highlights who they are, what they do, and what they are looking for.
Internship/job search strategies: Help students identify opportunities, navigate job and internship searches, and develop strategies for finding positions that align with their goals.
Navigating study abroad opportunities: Help students explore how international experiences can connect to their academic and career goals and identify ways to make the most of those opportunities.
Classroom support
Partner with faculty to bring career development and professional preparation directly into the classroom.
Workshops: Offer interactive sessions on career preparation, professional skills, job searching, and other topics to help students feel ready for their next steps.
Class Visits: Visit classes to share career resources, provide information about opportunities, and connect career development to students’ academic experiences.
Professional Development support
Help students build the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed in professional settings.
Career Events and Programming: Create opportunities for students to learn, connect, and explore careers through career fairs, panels, networking events, and other programs.
Employer and Alumni Engagement: Build connections with employers and alumni to create opportunities for students to learn about careers, expand their networks, and connect with potential opportunities.
