Transfer Student Success

Prospective Transfer Students

At Temple University's College of Education and Human Development (CEHD), we recognize the experiences and perspectives transfer students bring to our community. Whether you're transferring from a community college or another four-year institution, we're committed to helping you make a smooth and successful transition. In your first semester in CEHD, your academic advisor will work with you to understand how your transfer credits apply to your chosen program, develop a personalized academic plan, and navigate your path toward graduation.

Now that you're here, we encourage you to take advantage of the many resources and opportunities available to help you feel connected to Temple. Be sure to explore the CEHD Undergraduate Students Canvas Course, a resource for academic advising information. We also encourage you to participate in the CEHD Transfer Seminar (EDUC 2002), where you'll learn about university resources, connect with fellow transfer students, and develop strategies for navigating your new academic environment. As you acclimate to Temple University, don't hesitate to ask questions, meet regularly with your academic advisor, and become familiar with campus resources such as the library, tutoring and writing support, career services, and wellness resources.

Check your Temple email and Canvas regularly, stay informed about important deadlines. Remember, you're not starting over, you're building on the experiences you've already gained, and the CEHD community is here to support you every step of the way.
