Thanks to the generous support of alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD), we are able to offer a variety of scholarships to both incoming and current students through Scholarship Universe, Temple University’s scholarship platform.

Scholarship Awarding Process

• The scholarship awarding cycle opens in early summer, and selected students are typically notified before the start of the fall semester.
• Most CEHD scholarships do not require an application. Students deposited/enrolled in CEHD are automatically considered based on available data such as:
  • Financial need
  • GPA
  • Major or program of study
  • Other scholarship-specific criteria
• Students who are selected for a scholarship must:
  • Complete the required acceptance materials
  • Agree to the scholarship terms and conditions

Scholarships Requiring an Application

While most CEHD scholarships are awarded automatically (over 90% are direct awards), a small number require an application.

• Students who qualify for these opportunities will receive an email invitation to apply during the spring semester.
• Applications are reviewed by the Scholarship and Awards Committee.
• Awards are applied to the following academic year.
