TempleCares Bridge to Employment is a workforce development program that provides professional development, industry recognized credentials, and paid work experiences to North Philadelphia youth ages 17-241 whothat are interested in entering the health care industry. Once the training process is successfully completed, participants receive supported opportunities to apply and interview for full time employment, as well as job coaching services once hired.

Paid Work Experience

Gain skills through a paid “on the job” training experience. Participate in career exploration, career exposure, and professional and personal skill building workshops.

Paid work experience at TempleCares’ employer partners such as Temple Health, Penn Medicine, CVS Pharmacy etc.

Earn free industry credentials in Medical Office, Nurse Aide, or Behavioral Health.

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a Philadelphia resident 18-24
- Philadelphia high school graduate (Diploma, GED)
- Eligible to work in USA.
- Must be TANF eligible.
- Males over 18 must register for selective service
- Consent to obtain all Federal and State Criminal and Child Abuse clearances and drug testing.
- High School Graduate or GED Equivalent
- Graduates of high school CTE programs focused on health care studies strongly encouraged to apply.
- Consent to obtain all Federal and State Criminal and Child Abuse clearances and drug testing.
- Authorized to work in Philadelphia.
- High school graduate (or will graduate same year as enrollment).
- TANF eligible.
- Males 18 or older registered for Selective Service.
- Philadelphia Resident.
- Age 17-21 years old.

What is TempleCares Bridge to Employment?
TempleCares Bridge to Employment Program provides credential training and internships for Philadelphia youth ages 17-21 that are interested in the healthcare industry.
How can you help?
By providing a meaningful work experience for TempleCares interns you will be paving the way for successful entry into healthcare careers that will lead to economic self-sufficiency. TempleCares trains and pays the interns. You provide the opportunity to work with Philadelphia healthcare industry leaders.
Our students are pursuing credentials as behavior technicians, certified nurse aides, and medical office personnel. TempleCares supplies the credential training, and professional and personal development workshops to develop skills needed for students to successfully enter internships in the fall, as well as pays the interns above minimum wage for the hours they work at your site

A TempleCares employment specialist will prescreen and match you with interns that have skills and interests that align with your needs.
Internships run for 3 months at 16 hours per week.
