College of Education Awards for Prospective Graduate Students
The College of Education awards a limited number of partial tuition scholarships to qualified, full-time degree seeking students based on financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and academic merit as demonstrated by undergraduate grade point average. Awards range in amount up to $2,000 per semester for master's applicants and $5,000 per semester for doctoral applicants. Additionally, tuition awards may be accompanied by an offer of part-time graduate student employment for doctoral applicants. Recipients are notified of their award several weeks following their admission.
To be considered, applicants must submit an admissions application, all supporting documents, and the FAFSA by the priority application deadline. Recipients must submit a tuition deposit by the deadline and continuously enroll on a full-time basis to receive financial support from the College of Education.
College of Education Scholarships for Current Graduate Students
The College of Education offers a limited number of scholarships to qualified full-time, degree-seeking students currently enrolled in the College of Education. Eligibility for these scholarships are generally based on financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and academic merit as demonstrated by undergraduate grade point average, but may also include other criteria based on the purpose of the scholarship.
Assistantships & Fellowships
The College of Education awards a limited number of full-tuition assistantships to highly qualified full-time students admitted to PhD programs. Additionally, academic departments and non-academic units award assistantships, internships and externships based on financial need and fit. The university awards a limited number of fellowships to support outstanding students in doctoral programs.
Temple University offers graduate student financial aid primarily in the form of Federal loans and Work-Study programs.
