In honor of university-based scholars in the United States who are doing the most to shape the nation's education discourse, policy and practice, Rick Hess, a scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and an opinion contributor to Education Week, released the 2021 RHSU Edu-Scholar Public Influence Rankings on January 6. In the 2021 ranking, Marc Lamont Hill, professor of policy, organizational and leadership studies in the College of Education and Human Development and professor and the Steve Charles Chair in Media, Cities and Solutions in the Lew Klein College of Media and Communication, was ranked #23. Two other Temple faculty from the College of Liberal Arts, Sara Goldrick-Rab, professor of sociology, and Douglas Webber, associate professor of economics, were also included on the list.
