The College of Education and Human Development is pleased to announce that Mr. William McDonough is the 2017 College of Education and Human Development Gallery of Success inductee. Mr. McDonough is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Constellation, a Mutual Insurance holding company, comprised of medical liability insurers in the United States. The company is headquartered in Minneapolis, MN and currently has three operating insurance companies, Arkansas Mutual, MMIC and UMIA, and two non-insurance subsidiaries.

Mr. McDonough has worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years, most of that focusing on medical professional liability insurance. Prior to joining MMIC/Constellation in 2008, McDonough was President and Chief Executive Officer of Princeton Insurance Company headquartered in Princeton, NJ.
 
He is a Veteran of the United States Air Force, graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Distributive Education. He also earned an MBA in finance from the University of Phoenix and holds the RLPU designation. Mr. McDonough sits on the Board of several profit and non-profit organizations including Constellation, PIAA, and Temple University College of Education and Human Development Board of Visitors, and is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Minnesota.
 
The Gallery of Success is an exhibit located inside Mitten Hall (lower level) showcasing Temple alumni who have utilized the skills and knowledge learned at Temple to chart their own paths in their studied fields. These inspirational alumni from each of the Temple's 19 schools and colleges are honored every fall during Homecoming weekend and highlighted for one year in the Gallery of Success Showcase; previous winners' names are also on permanent display. The exhibit is a collaborative effort between Temple's Career Center and the Office of Alumni Relations.
