February 2021
We welcome February with growing hours of sunlight, light-filled hearts for Valentines, and a spotlight on Black History Month.
In this month’s eNewsletter, we recognize Peter Aguilar, EDU '85, (VP Langone) and we would love to hear and share your stories too. You can pass them along via alumnied@temple.edu.
Additionally, there are many ways to learn more about black history at Temple (although some are not currently available due to the pandemic), including four spots on Temple’s campus where black history lives. The most prominent of these is the Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection in Sullivan, which features over 700,000 unique items related to black history and culture.
And, while you may not be able to enjoy those four spots on campus just now or all those romantic spots you remember with your sweetheart, we hope you were able to join your fellow CEHD alumni and friends for the informational Owl Hour with former Dean of TU Japan, Bruce Stronach, delivered on February 18, 2021. He provided information on the unique challenges around running an international college campus.
Please join us next month on March 16th for an enlightening Owl Hour presentation that will explore career development and the job search process.
Wishing you a lovely and enlightening February.
