Counseling Psychology

With concentrations available in mental health counseling and school counseling, Counseling Psychology MEd students gain the assessment and therapeutic skills needed to work with individuals, groups and students in a variety of community-based settings. Students complete coursework and internship requirements necessary for certification for a career as an individual, group or school counselor.

School Psychology

The EdS in School Psychology prepares students to become certified school psychologists in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Graduates are awarded certification in school psychology after completing required coursework, practicum and internship placements, and successfully passing state-required exams.

The School Psychology PhD program prepares students to become psychologists in a variety of school settings, public and private organizations, or in private practice. Students learn how to adapt to the evolving professional demands of school psychology and help determine the future of the profession. It is the only APA accredited school psychology program in Philadelphia.

Clinical experiences begin in the first year and continue throughout the program, including in our on-campus psychoeducational clinic.
