To the College of Education and Human Development Community,
It is with deep sadness that I write to inform you of the recent loss of a member of our CEHD family. On June 9, 2022, Dr. Cynthia Belliveau passed away peacefully.
Throughout her life, Dr. Belliveau showed a heartfelt and unwavering commitment to serving her community and supporting her students and colleagues. Just last year, Dr. Belliveau was honored by the college for her service to all of us, and in 2013, she was recognized by the Vice Provost of Undergraduate Studies as Faculty Advisor of the Year. We will work together as a community to find the best way to commemorate Dr. Belliveau and the tremendous difference she made in our college.
Dr. Belliveau will be deeply missed by our entire community. For students who may be seeking additional support with their grief, please know that Tuttleman Counseling Center is available for you. Daily counselors who can assist those in crisis are on-duty, and students can access and register for services via their website. Temple University employees may refer to the Temple University Employee Assistance Program.
With Sadness,
James Earl Davis
Interim Dean, College of Education and Human Development
Bernard C. Watson Chair in Urban Education
