Undergraduate students whose major is in the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) follow these instructions to obtain your clearances.

Beginning fall 2024, undergraduate CEHD students will not need to purchase clearances out of pocket. Instead, the clearance course fee will be integrated into specific courses within your program. This means that when you register for these designated courses, the clearance fee will automatically be included in your tuition.

Which courses have the clearance course fee added to them?

The following CEHD courses will have a $66.30 fee attached to it. This fee is the exact cost to obtain clearances for a full year:

These courses were chosen to avoid charging students multiple times. The courses were based on specific program's curriculum sheets, making sure they fit with prerequisites and the order needed to take classes in.

What's next?

Undergraduate students will receive an email from the Office of Professional Experiences with a link to complete the CEHD Undergraduate Background Check Authorization form. Once the form is submitted, students will receive a personalized email with a step-by-step guide for obtaining clearances.
